After years of lobbying, State Government and City Council teamed-up to ensure that Western Australia’s major regional centre would have a world-class theatre at a cost of $6.5 million.

To bring the project alive, $1.5 million had to be raised from the local community. Compton were called-in to draw-up the fundraising plan and to manage the campaign that secured the target in 18 weeks of intensive fundraising. Thanks to the committed leadership of volunteers who made the campaign a genuine priority, Bunbury now has a Regional Theatre which is the envy of its neighbouring regions.
