Founded by the pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare's Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education.

Together, the Globe Theatre Company, Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of Shakespeare in performance.

Compton was initially engaged in 2007 to mastermind the strategy for an international capital campaign to raise £20million to fund three new building projects and establish an on-going endowment fund.

Working alongside the in-house development team, Compton consultants then provided the day-to-day management of the first phase, reaching in late 2009 the initial milestone of raising £8 million needed to construct the new Education and Rehearsal Centre. Building work is underway and progressing to schedule (and budget).
