The internships will run from end April to the end of December 2010 and pay £880 a month for a 35-hour working week.
The internship roles will offer opportunities to those seeking a career in the Third Sector hands-on experience of database management, direct response fundraising, major donor fundraising and legacy fundraising.
The internship roles will be trained and supervised on a daily basis by experienced Compton consultants, but also be mentored by one of the firm’s Managing Consultants and have formal mentoring sessions with the firm’s Managing Director.

Compton is currently recruiting for a database administrator to undertake data entry, management, analysis and reporting for the wider fundraising team with one of its South London clients. Experience of Raiser’s Edge essential.
MAIN DUTIES:
- To manage the database and to be the liaison for all fundraising and marketing queries
- To support and analyse donor acquisition and development campaigns
- To profile and analyse all data to provide regular reporting
- To manage the processing, banking and thank you communications for individual donors
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:
- Good experience of Raiser’s Edge
- Well organised
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Previous experience of database marketing and use of Raiser’s Edge
- Genuine interest in data use and analysis
