New Client: Theatre Royal Plymouth
We are pleased to announce our newest Arts and Culture client: the Theatre Royal Plymouth. A Compton team, led by Anthony Hewitt, will be working with the TRP team to plan, and deliver its next phase of fundraising and development work.
The Theatre Royal Plymouth is the largest and best-attended regional producing theatre in the UK, consisting of a 1,300-seat main auditorium, The Lyric, which regularly hosts large-scale musicals, opera and ballet; a 200-seat studio, The Drum; and, on a separate site, a 50-seat studio, The Lab. TRP is also a leader in the UK Regional Producing Sector and whether in Plymouth or further afar is committed to creating, making, building and presenting world class theatre.
The Theatre has a world-class production and learning centre, TR2, on the banks of the River Plym. TR2 is the home to workshops and highly skilled teams who produce sets, props and costumes for the Theatre Royal and for other theatres and performance venues around the world.
TR2 also provides one of the biggest education and outreach and employment programmes for a regional venue in the UK and is a thriving hub within the UK’s creative industries.
Over the last few years, we have worked with some of the UK’s most famous stages: from the Royal Albert Hall to Shakespeare’s Globe on high value major gift and trust fundraising.
We are looking forward to working with James Mackenzie-Blackman (CEO) and Dame Darcey Bussell (Chair) and the rest of the team over the next few months.
