Established in 1939, Citizens Advice has worked for over 85 years to give people the practical, expert advice they really need, when they really need it, across a wide range of issues, including debt, benefits, housing, employment and consumer rights.

A national charity, with a network of 240 local charities across England and Wales, Citizens Advice exists to shape a society where people face far fewer problems by offering free, trusted and confidential expert advice and practical support  – online, over the phone, and in person.

Services are delivered by a small army of highly-trained people – including a remarkable 19,000 volunteers and 9,800 staff.

No one else sees so many people with so many different problems. That gives the charity a unique insight into the complex challenges people are facing today and ways of helping people with the underlying cause of their problems to make sure they don’t get worse.

In doing so, it has been estimated that Citizens Advice saves the government and public services an estimated £759 million every year.

We are working alongside the CA Board and Executive team to review opportunities to grow and diversify the charity’s fundraising.

Thornage Hall Independent Living provides supported living, learning, and working opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.

To meet the evolving needs of their community, the charity launched a £1.4 million capital development project and appointed us to support Trust and Foundation fundraising.

We worked closely with the Chairman and other Trustees of the charity to prospect, research and apply to a wide range of trusts and foundations and are pleased to report that the capital fundraising goal has been achieved.

St George’s Crypt has been at the forefront of the provision of wide-ranging support for homeless and disadvantaged people since it was established as a charity in 1930.

We worked alongside the Trustees to fund the development of housing for those ready to make the move to independent living with access to opportunities toward employability.

The ‘From A Bench to Independence’ campaign raised over £5 million from Leeds City Council, the Lockwood Family Foundation, Liz & Terry Bramall Charitable Foundation, Evans Property Group, Garfield Weston Foundation, the Nisa Foundation, Morrisons Foundation, the Laing Family Trusts and many others.
