Norwich School: a 900-year history of bursary support
Norwich School, located in the close of Norwich Cathedral, is among the oldest schools in the UK, with a traceable history to 1096 as an episcopal grammar school established by Herbert de Losinga, the first Bishop of Norwich.
Today, Norwich is a thriving, independent and co-educational school that offers a vibrant learning environment for students aged 3-18.

From its first establishment the School provided significant financial support to its pupils. With continued financial pressures facing many households, bursary provision has become crucial – with around one quarter of prospective pupils applying to the School requiring some kind of financial assistance.
The School is committed to increasing its bursary provision to ensure that it can continue to welcome talented and deserving pupils from all backgrounds, regardless of the ability to pay.
We are pleased to have worked with Jonathan Pearson, Director of Development, and his team to plan and test the next stages of their bursary funding growth strategy for Norwich School.
